Hydration & Bladder Habits Self-Check

Eight honest questions about how your day treats your bladder: what goes in, when, and how you respond to it. Answers stay in your browser and produce two qualitative readings, never a score.

  1. 1.Across a normal day, how much do you drink (all fluids, not just water)?
  2. 2.When do you do most of your drinking?
  3. 3.What colour is your urine on a typical afternoon?

Colour is a rough built-in hydration gauge, not a lab test.

  4. 4.How much caffeine or fizzy drink is in your day?
  5. 5.How do you handle the urge to go during a busy day?
  6. 6.How many times do you typically get up at night to urinate?
  7. 7.Do you ever leak with coughing, sneezing, laughing or exercise?
  8. 8.If you noticed a urinary change (colour, comfort, frequency), what would you honestly do?

Why habits beat willpower

Almost every bladder complaint that reaches a urologist has a habit layer underneath it: the day's fluid squeezed into the evening, caffeine keeping the bladder irritable, just-in-case toilet trips training it to shout earlier, a pelvic floor nobody ever taught. None of this replaces medical assessment, and this check will happily tell you to book one. But the habit layer belongs to you, changes within weeks, and makes every treatment that follows work better.
